2020 Soundsystem

20/20 Soundsystem make a long-awaited return, after more than a decade, with brand new versions of their seminal track “Falling” courtesy of Random Factor and Fernando.

The Soundsystem was originally started by Ralph Lawson & Danny ‘Dubble D’ Ward as a way play together live on decks & drums the band grew to include Argentinian duo, Silver City, comprised of Fernando Pulichino & Julian Sanza on bass & keys.

Hailed for a groundbreaking fusion of electrofunk, deep house, dub and indie dance the band set the standard for live electronic music performance in the noughties releasing two acclaimed albums, No Order and Falling and a recording Live at Sonar along the way. The four-piece group toured consistently between 2003-2013 with standout appearances at Sonar Barcelona, Glastonbury, Space Ibiza, EXIT, Love International, Creamfields Argentina, fabric London, Manchester WHP among many others. The bands raw, hypnotic energy and improvisational approach redefined how electronic music could be performed live while their tracks Falling, Sliding Away & Ocean became hits in the clubs.

Falling is re-imagined by Random Factor aka Carl Finlow who turns it into a glitch heavy late-night workout delivered with trademark cutting edge production skills. While Fernando (DFA, Leng, Jura) provides classic electro funk mixes full of balearic bliss. Both sets of remixes offer fresh versions retaining the original vocal hook that sounds even more current today while the dub versions ensure that Falling once again resonates from discerning late-night dancefloors to blissed out festivals and everywhere between…
